Imagine that on any fine day, unexpectantly clouds and massive winds began forming and came to sweep your
world away! In the song Whirlwind, God is described as this powerful force, and we have to deal with the imminent coming of
the storm. As the whirlwind approaches I begin to fear. Although fear is not normally looked upon as a positive reaction,
it is necessary for comprehending truth. (Proverbs 1:7) The truth is that when we come into contact with God, we come into
contact with someone so much larger than ourselves that we should be terrified.
The whirlwind is not, however, just
about fearing God, but it is about trusting in Him alone. It's about freely jumping into His capable hands and knowing that
He is in control. If we can believe that God created the universe with words from his mouth, then surely we can believe and
trust Him with our lives. Trusting God means that you'll stop running from Him, fall on your knees, and surrender your life
to Him.
